Everyday wear
Put jewelry on last and take it off first: after lotions, perfume and hairspray, and before swimming, cleaning or exercise. Chlorine and household chemicals can dull metal and loosen settings.
Cleaning at home
Soak pieces in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap, brush gently behind the stone with a soft toothbrush, rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for treated or fragile stones.
Storage
Store each piece separately in its pouch or box. Diamonds can scratch other stones and metals, and fine chains tangle.
